Jeep Boosts Overall Fiat Chrysler Stock

2018 Jeep | Sierra CDJR | Ottawa, IL

The Rugged American Brand.

Jeep® is one of the many brands in the Fiat Chrysler portfolio, which includes high-end options like Maserati, Alfa Romeo, and the mass-market Fiat — but it looks like the rugged American brand is doing more than its fair share in helping Fiat Chrysler Stock remain popular.

The globally appealing SUV line up of Jeep® has helped the brand boost the overall Fiat Chrysler stock, which jumped more than 20% earlier this year.

This 20% increase was followed by yet another increase of 3%, helping Fiat Chrysler gain more momentum when Morgan Stanley analysts stated that Jeep® could become an even more global brand

“2018 will feature a number of operational and financial milestones that can accelerate investor appreciation of the commercial power of the Jeep® brand in a way that can potentially drive very positive share price movements,” said the Morgan Stanley investors in their report.

The report also estimates that, in 2018, the Jeep® brand could contribute to nearly 70% of Fiat Chrysler’s profit. The Italian-American carmaker plans to boost output of SUVs and trucks, ending the production of some sedans to make its North American market, which is its largest.

As the new Jeep® Wrangler gets closer to production, and the new Jeep® Cherokee enters showrooms like Sierra CDJR’s, the popularity of the Jeep® brand has caused the rumors to fly about the brand potentially spinning off from the group.

The Challenger SRT Demon: The World’s Fastest Production Car

Challenger Line up | Ottawa, IL

SRT Demon

Ever wonder what it’s like to drive the Dodge Demon, the world’s fastest production car? The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is built with pure performance in mind. This model has a single seat, fender flares, fat tires, and an 840-horsepower engine. There’s not one detail that doesn’t contribute to the raw power and performance of the new Demon, making this car ideal for anyone who loves drag racing.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the Dodge Challenger Demon is one of a kind, offering a truly unique driving experience. While it carries over many aspects from the base Challenger model, the Demon has a few tricks up its sleeve. Thanks to the 840-horsepower engine (which also gets 770 lb-ft of torque), the Demon can do zero to 60 in just 2.3 seconds. Believe it or not, it has a quarter-mile time of 9.65 seconds.

Cool New Features

The new Demon has a few features that help it excel on the drag strip. Or those who prefer the old-fashioned two-foot method to launching, the Demon will let you do what you want. However, there are also some advanced technologies that optimize times on the track, including Launch Assist, Drag Mode, and a new software called transbrake.

“Pundits criticize the Challenger as an aging platform, but Dodge has kept things interesting with an array of variants,” writes Andy Mikonis at the Tribune. “[T]he Demon proves there’s some real engineering talent in the ranks of SRT.”

Jeep Wrangler Red Rock Concept Inspired by Easter Jeep Safari Event

Jeep Wrangler Red Rock Concept

There have been many great Jeep models made over the years, but the Jeep Wrangler Red Rock concept may be the best yet!

There may be no larger celebration of all things Jeep than the annual Easter Jeep Safari event, held every year in Moab. In 2016, the event will celebrate its 50th anniversary, and has unveiled the Jeep Wrangler Red Rock concept in celebration at this year’s SEMA. The rough and rugged concept takes its inspiration directly from Moab’s fascinating red rock landscapes.

Bold, intimidating, and capable, the Jeep Wrangler Red Rock concept is based on the already hardcore Hard Rock Wrangler Rubicon, but adds even more aftermarket parts, both from Mopar and other companies, to create the roughest, toughest, and most capable rock-climbing Jeep yet.

According to gizmag.com, some of those additions include 35-inch BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires, a two-inch lift, LED headlamps, a Warn Rubicon winch, a set of 17-inch beadlock wheels, a Jeep-branded CB radio, front and rear differential covers, and a custom interior finish with Amaretto Brown leather and silver stitching.

“The annual Easter Jeep Safari remains one of the most significant events on any Jeep enthusiast’s calendar. We’re extremely grateful to the Red Rock 4-Wheelers for continuing this iconic Jeep event, and we present our Wrangler Red Rock Concept as a tribute to them and the enthusiasts who attend the annual Jeep Safari and support our brand,” stated Mike Manley, Head of the Jeep Brand.

Jeep will produce just 50 units of the Jeep Wrangler Red Rock, which will become available to some very lucky buyers next year. Stop by Sierra Motors Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to learn more, and to test drive any of our exciting and capable Jeep vehicles!

Jeep is First American Automaker to Return to the Tokyo Motor Show

Jeep will be the first American automaker to return to the Tokyo Motor Show after an eight year absence. Though foreign-brand car sales in Japan have declined about six percent in the first four months of this year, Jeep sales were up 21 percent over the same period.

That would explain why Jeep is returning to the Tokyo Motor Show even when fellow Detroit automakers such as Ford, General Motors, and even Chrysler are not. The Big Three had originally walked away from the show after the 2007 event because of the global economic crisis and haven’t come back since.

But now Jeep is the best-selling American brand in Japan. It will be part of an eight-vehicle, four-brand showcase overseen by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Japan. Joining it will be cars from Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Abarth, as well as 13 other foreign makes.

Sierra Motors Chrysler is happy to once more be looking forward to the Tokyo Motor Show!
