Two new special-edition Jeeps were introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show that, unusually, aren’t going to be just for show.
The first is the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night, which has been blacked out in just about every detail, including the roof, rear spoiler, pillars, window surrounds, and front grille bezels. The interior is all in black as well with silver stitching on the black leather seats to add a bit of contrast. Still, Jeep is letting you have it in either deep red, dark gray, or silver.
The second is the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry, based on the Wrangler Sahara and Rubicon. Though it features a special off-road front bumper, a powder-coated rear bumper, and fancy 17-inch wheels, most of the changes can be found inside: piano-black trim, vinyl accents, leather and mesh seats, and a nine-speaker Alpine sound system ramp up the luxury feel.
The special-edition Wrangler became available at Sierra Motors Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram at the end of last month and the Grand Cherokee SRT Night will be available early next year.
