2016 Dodge Charger Pursuit’s Built-In Tech
It’s no secret that police vehicles need to be fast, strong, and reliable, and Dodge has done just that. The new 2016 Dodge Charger Pursuit adds plenty of space for police officers behind the wheel. Say goodbye the laptops of old and welcome the new 12.1 inch Uconnect touchscreen system.
The touchscreen is a new feature added based on feedback from officer’s statements that they needed more space. That spawned the touchscreen that allows officers to transition between vehicle controls quickly.
Police cruisers are a necessity and that means there’s market share to be had. Ford had long held the lion’s share for the better part of 30 years until the Crown Victoria was replaced by the Taurus. Dodge has been gaining ground in the past few years though.
In 2006, Dodge held just 2% of the market for police vehicles. By 2014, that number had jumped to an enormous 43%. The newest model is expected to drive that number upward even further.
The Charger Pursuit’s built-in tech brings all the car’s technology into one place, eliminating the need to shift, lean, and strain while behind the wheel.
All in all, we here at Sierra Motors Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram are happy to see Dodge working to help the boys in blue!
